Learn Pottery
There are many ways to learn through clay. I'd love to match you with the right opportunity.
Scroll below for options.
Five Throwing Sessions
We will meet four times to focus on wheel work and to learn about the properties of clay, some history, and the extraordinary nature of this elemental material. The fifth class will be a glazing class. Classes are 2.5 hrs each. We will learn centering and practice throwing technique. Hand building and sculpture are also an option.
Most glazes are made here at the studio by me and they are ready for use.
Because meeting in large groups for an extended period of time might make folks uncomfortable, I feel it’s necessary to host small classes in the studio. At this time I'm limiting the classes to five. I take serious precautions; everyone must be vaccinated, and we observe social distancing as much as we can.
If you're not vaccinated and would like to take a class or visit for a retreat, let's make a plan.
If at any time, you're unable to attend a class, we will reschedule.
$310
A few more details: If on your 4th class you make work which necessitates an extra visit for trimming, there is an additional studio fee @ $20/hr.
*Please note: If you'd like to use the studio outside of scheduled class times, there is a studio fee of $20/hr plus materials (clay body prices vary). This does not include instruction. Additional studio time is available only after at least one 5-week session and is at the discretion of the studio.
